In the mixed-delivery system there are multiple agencies and workgroups that support high-quality implementation in early learning across state and federal funding sources. These programs support children from birth to age five. In a call to support high-quality early learning experiences California among other states implemented the Quality Improvement Rating System in connection with local resources to provide funding and technical assistance to early learning providers statewide.
Resources provided for families to support them to make informed choices about where to place their child during their four year-old year. This includes guidance on all program models and the parents' right to choose.
